Sharjah 24: The Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled is getting ready for the upcoming Sharjah Summer Sports Programme, titled "Our Extraordinary Holiday," which will start on June 30. This programme is organized by a committee led by Abdullah Mohammed Ibrahim Al Tunaiji, a member of the club's board and head of the cultural and community committee.

In their recent meeting, the organizing committee reviewed detailed plans for the programme and set up a main committee along with subcommittees to take charge of all activities planned for this summer. The programme will feature a variety of fun, sports, and cultural activities specifically designed to support children and youth with disabilities, helping them to grow in skills and confidence in a safe and encouraging environment.

Abdullah Al Tunaiji stressed that this year's plan is well-rounded and designed to strengthen national identity while teaching important sports and social values to the participants. This is in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, who places great importance on supporting children with disabilities. Al Tunaiji noted that the club is dedicated to maintaining health and safety standards to create a secure environment filled with positive experiences.

He also highlighted the importance of sticking to the planned schedule for the camp’s programs and activities, making sure that participants receive the best support and care. The goal is to help develop the skills of young people and create a nurturing educational environment that contributes to building a aware and responsible generation.

Additionally, Al Tunaiji mentioned that the club is continually improving its programs to meet the needs of the community and people with disabilities. He emphasized the value of working closely with the Sharjah Sports Council and other supporting organizations to achieve the best outcomes for young people and those with disabilities.

In preparation for the summer camp, Sulaiman Rashid, the Chairman of the Club's Support Services Committee, shared that the committee has worked hard to ensure everything is ready for the participants. They have completed maintenance on the club's facilities and sports areas, ensuring they are safe and well-equipped. Arrangements have also been made for comfortable transportation, with buses ready to safely transport participants to and from daily activities. Rashid assured that all support teams are fully prepared to ensure the programme runs smoothly and successfully.
