Successful workshop for "Our Holiday is Different" prog

Sharjah24: The organising committee for the Sharjah Sports Summer Program, "Our Holiday is Different," held a successful workshop at the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club. This programme, organised by the Sharjah Sports Council, takes place every summer. The workshop focused on the participation criteria and evaluation standards for candidates competing for the 2025 edition.

Workshop details

The workshop was led by Bakhit Saeed Al-Qars, Director of Sports and Community Events and Head of the Organizing Committee, along with committee members. Representatives from participating sports and specialised clubs also attended. The program's activities will run from June 30 until the end of July.

Evaluation criteria

During the workshop, Khalid Al-Junaibi, Head of the Evaluation Committee, and Dr. Hani Al-Qasem provided an overview of the evaluation guide and its standards. The evaluation criteria include: 10% for creative initiative, 20% for joint competitions, 30% for the application file, and 40% for the field visit. The participation categories are: overall excellence, best sports club, best specialized club, joint competitions, and best creative initiative, with a total of nine awards to be presented. Attendees were also informed about how to assess the scores for each evaluation element.

Committee leadership

The organising committee is chaired by Bakhit Al-Qars, with Ahmed Al-Salman as the program director and members including Sheikh Khalid bin Faisal Al Qasimi, Khalid Al-Junaibi, Safia Al-Zarouni, Fawagi Al-Fardan, Dr Hani Al-Qasem, Hassan Al-Toumi, and Mohamed Salah Munir as the rapporteur.
