The fifth edition of Al Dhaid Dates Festival 2025 has officially commenced at Expo Al Dhaid. Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), which organises the event, attended the launch.
The festival attracts municipal and federal institutions, producers, and palm owners from all across the UAE, as well as dignitaries and Central Region inhabitants.
According to Mohammed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the festival is gaining popularity among producers, farmers, and palm owners around the Emirate.
He stated that the event's goal is to help the palm sector, increase local output, and contribute to the UAE's food security. Speaking to "Sharjah 24", Al Awadi explained that this year's edition will have over 100 exhibitors presenting the greatest variety of native dates for which the UAE, and particularly the Central Region, is known.
He also underlined the Chamber's commitment to organising this important festival, which is a continuation of the annual Al Dhaid Fresh Dates Festival (Rutab) hosted at Expo Al Dhaid.
