Shams wins 2025 Sharjah Government Employees Chess Championship

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Media City (Shams) made a remarkable sporting achievement by winning the 2025 Sharjah Government Employees Chess Championship, organised by the Sharjah Government Employees Club in cooperation with the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, and under the supervision of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC).

The championship was held on the sidelines of the eighth edition of the Sharjah Masters International Chess Championship 2025 and saw wide participation from employees of government entities and institutions in the Emirate. 52 players representing 25 government entities competed.

The outstanding player in the championship was Abdullah Murad Al Mazmi, representing Sharjah Media City (Shams), who delivered an exceptional performance, achieving a perfect score of 6.5 points from seven rounds, contributing to Shams's title.
