Sharjah 24: The Under-9 Football Championship, organised by the Sharjah Sports Council, is progressing with strong momentum. Featuring 10 participating clubs and around 200 young players, the tournament aims to discover and develop emerging football talent as part of the Council's annual youth development strategy.

Fourth round delivers intense competition

The fourth round of the championship brought exciting matches in both Group A and Group B. In Group A, Al Bataeh secured a 5-3 victory over Sharjah "A" on home turf, while Al Madam suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat against Al Hamriyah at home. Over in Group B, Khorfakkan triumphed over Mleiha with a close 4-3 win, and Dibba Al Hisn delivered a dominant 4-0 performance against Al Dhaid, also at home.

Group standings take shape

Following the latest round of matches, Al Bataeh now leads Group A, with Sharjah "A" in second place. Al Madam, Sharjah "B", and Al Hamriyah follow in the group standings. In Group B, Dibba Al Hisn sits at the top, followed by Kalba in second place, then Al Dhaid, Khorfakkan, and Mleiha.

Supporting future football talent

The Sharjah Youth Football League continues to be a vital platform for nurturing young athletes and fostering a competitive environment where clubs can identify and cultivate future stars. With several rounds still to go, anticipation is building for how the rest of the championship will unfold.
