Sharjah 24: During a recent meeting led by Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, the club approved plans to organize training camps as part of preparations for the upcoming sports season. One of the key highlights is a training camp for the athletics team, which is scheduled to take place in the Czech Republic from June 10 to July 8, 2025. This mission will include a team leader, three coaches, and nine athletes.

Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi praised the great and unlimited support provided by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; and the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and their continuous follow-up and constant directives that aim to advance the emirate’s sports and raise the UAE’s flag in all forums.

Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi emphasized that the club's management is committed to ensuring that as many players as possible take part in training camps outside the country and represent the UAE in various sports. This effort reflects the progress being made in sports and among athletes, following the guidance of our leadership, which supports initiatives that aim for international success and showcase the achievements of the UAE.

He highlighted the importance of providing both financial and moral support, as well as organizing training camps abroad, to help the team achieve impressive results that reflect the club's stature both locally and internationally. He mentioned that these external training camps greatly benefit the team’s preparation for the season, particularly in terms of fitness and tactics. They provide an ideal environment for training, allowing for focused practice during good weather, and encouraging players to fully commit both mentally and psychologically.

At a recent Board of Directors meeting, several important topics were discussed. The Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled shared its three-year strategic plan, which is built on a thoughtful approach aimed at preparing younger generations in both cultural and athletic areas. This plan is in line with the club's vision to create a comprehensive strategy that fosters growth in both sports and culture.

Lamia Al Zaabi, Head of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence Committee, confirmed that the strategy was developed based on the UAE strategy, including the strategy, directives and vision of the Sharjah Sports Council, all of which were developed in scientific formats and studied to arrive at this plan from the data, the management’s vision for the club to be a competitive sports institution that serves the emirate’s community, the digital transformation plans, and the activation of the electronic correspondence program. She reviewed the administrative regulations manual, the workflow of the various committees, and the needs that contribute to achieving positive results during the upcoming sports seasons.
