A successful preparatory workshop for the Kalba Beach Games

Sharjah 24: As part of preparations for the fifth edition of the Kalba Beach Games, scheduled for November, the tournament's Organising Committee held an interactive workshop on Monday, May 12, with the participation of the heads and members of the various committees and working teams.

The workshop aimed to evaluate the previous edition, discuss organisational and technical development proposals, discuss a new vision to enhance this unique sporting and tourism event, and develop strategic plans for its development.

The workshop was attended by Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), and chaired by Abdulmalik Mohammed Jani, Vice Chairman of the Council and Chairman of the Organising Committee. Dr. Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, Director of the tournament, also attended.

Tournament success and popularity

Issa Hilal expressed his happiness with the tournament's popularity and success, stressing that this was due to the cooperation of the committee members and the collaborative efforts of the working teams.

Following the workshop, Abdulmalik Mohammed Jani praised all its outcomes and commended the participants' responsiveness and engagement with the topics, which addressed the positives, negatives, opportunities, and anticipated challenges. He emphasised that the workshop's recommendations will be discussed at the next meeting of the organising committee. He noted that the next edition will see further development and modernisation of the site, logistics, and equipment, in addition to the tournament's games and competitions.

It's worth noting that the previous edition of the tournament was held with the participation of 4,000 male and female players and included seven sports packages comprising 23 games.
