The ceremony was held at the club's headquarters, in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club; Dr Huda Abdul Rahman Al Matroushi, President of the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation; His Excellency Rashid Al Mahyan, Chairman of the Parents' Council in the Central Region; members of the club's board of directors; and the players' parents.
His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his unlimited and continuous support for the emirate's clubs and players, which has contributed to outstanding sporting achievements and raised the UAE's flag in international forums.
In statements to Sharjah 24, Al Khasouni explained that the achievement made by the club's players, representing the national Laser Run team, is the club's first international accomplishment. The players won two gold medals, a silver medal, and a bronze medal, a source of pride for the clubs in the Central Region and the Mleiha area.
The Chairman of the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club thanked the Sharjah Sports Council for its sponsorship and support of the club, and the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation for its commendable efforts in raising the level of players and the sport of Laser Run.
