Sharjah Ruler witnesses MoU signing between KOU, Victoria School

Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Kalba (UOK), witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the University of Kalba and Victoria International School in Sharjah on Thursday morning at the university's headquarters.
The MoU was signed by Dr Najwa Mohammed Al Housani, Director of the University of Kalba, and Dean Bayerah, CEO of Victoria International School Group.

Objectives of the memorandum
The memorandum aims to foster collaboration in physical education and sports to contribute to building a healthier and happier community. It seeks to provide more opportunities for students of the College of Sports Sciences at the University to expand their knowledge and improve their skills, as well as enhance the expertise of the Victoria International School educational community.
Sharjah Ruler during the signing eventAdditionally, the MoU focuses on partnerships between the University Of Kalba and Victoria International School to implement various practical and academic programmes, support activities and events through specialised programmes, and organise lectures and workshops in diverse fields. It also emphasises training and qualifying students from the College of Sports Sciences to enhance their skills and competencies, thereby increasing job opportunities for national talent and fostering scientific research in physical education.

Academic and practical collaboration
According to the MoU, University of Kalba will provide academic expertise and consulting to the educational community at Victoria International School in the fields of physical education and sports sciences, while the school will work on developing students' academic and practical skills.

Both parties commit to participating in organising sports events and various community activities to achieve their shared goals and strategies in practical and training fields. They will also collaborate on marketing programmes, websites, and any future proposals.

The signing of the MoU was attended by several dignitaries alongside His Highness, including Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, CEO of Real Estate Sector at Sharjah Asset Management, Engineer Ali Saeed bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Public Works, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of Sharjah Health Authority, Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Human Resources Department, Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Head of the Protocol and Hospitality Department, Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council
, as well as several members of the Board of Trustees of University of kalba and senior officials.
