EPAA highlights environmental awareness objectives
Ahmed Ali Al Mazmi, Director of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) office in Kalba, announced the launch of the event, noting the attendance of Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi and highlighting participation from various government and supporting entities. He said the initiative aims to raise environmental awareness about the mangrove ecosystem through guided tours and scientific sessions focused on conservation efforts.

Speaking to Sharjah 24, Al Mazmi explained that the programme included a guided tour of the reserve and a scientific dialogue session with specialists, addressing the importance of mangrove trees in supporting marine life, along with efforts to rehabilitate turtles and other environmental protection initiatives.
The director of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority office in Kalba confirmed that the initiative carries an environmental message that emphasises that protecting nature is a shared responsibility, and encourages members of the community to participate in environmental initiatives and preserve natural resources for future generations.
