Empowering rising generations
Al Hawai added that this vision serves as a beacon and a fundamental pillar in empowering rising generations and building reading and creative societies.
Al Hawai said that as an institution, Sharjah Children is proud to be part of this pioneering cultural journey led by Their Highnesses. Sharjah Children participation this year in the Children's Reading Festival is an extension of this enlightened approach that places children at the center of all development and progress.
'Reader of the Century' platform
Al Hawai added that this year, Sharjah Children is proud to launch the 'Reader of the Century' platform by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, a pioneering initiative that reflects His Highness's deep interest in children and the importance of instilling the habit of reading among young people. This platform represents a valuable addition to the Rubu' Qarn Foundation's array of programmes and initiatives, providing an interactive reading experience that motivates children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 to read through a self-assessment system and encouraging achievement badges.
Sharjah Children pavilion
Al Hawai explained that Sharjah Children pavilion at the festival offers more than 70 specialised activities and workshops, carefully designed to combine fun and benefit, and aimed at enhancing children's cognitive and innovative skills within an interactive environment that contributes to building their personalities and opening up new horizons in the world of culture and art.
Al Hawai concluded her statement by saying that Sharjah Children believes that reading is the first building block for building a child’s creative and influential personality in their community. Parents and their children are invited to visit the Sharjah Children pavilion and register on the ‘Reader of the Century’ platform via the website www.rqreader.ae, to contribute to creating a generation of readers who are aware and inspired.
