Saab stated that the 16th edition of the festival will offer a wide variety of free activities for children and their families, with free entry and parking for all visitors. The goal is to create an engaging space where children are at the center of the experience.
This year’s programme includes hands-on workshops focused on artificial intelligence, drawing, cooking, and storytelling, all designed to nurture children's creative talents and help them explore their interests in a fun and educational environment. In addition, the festival will feature live theatre performances tailored for children, blending entertainment with meaningful educational themes.
The festival also hosts interactive cultural sessions catering to different age groups, and welcomes participation from a wide range of local, regional, and international publishers specialising in children's and young adult literature. This offers parents an excellent opportunity to instill a love of reading in their children and expand their knowledge from an early age.
Badr Mohammed invited all families and children to visit the festival and take advantage of the free programmes on offer. He emphasised that the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival has become an important annual event that blends culture with enjoyment, playing a key role in shaping a generation that is both well-read and creatively inspired.
