113 athletes join Khorfakkan Paralympic Cup

Sharjah 24: Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Technical Affairs and Talent Care Committee at the Khorfakkan Club For The Disabled announced that the Khorfakkan Club For The Disabled hosted the final competition of the National Paralympic Committee Athletics Cup on Saturday. A total of 113 male and female athletes representing seven clubs across the UAE took part in the event.

Seven clubs represented in national competition

Al Hammadi told “Sharjah 24” that the participants came from Khorfakkan, Dubai, Al Thiqa, Ajman, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah Clubs for the Disabled. He added that the competitions, held at Khorfakkan Club’s headquarters, featured various track and field disciplines including shot put, javelin throw, and discus throw.

Khorfakkan crowned champions

The host team, Khorfakkan Club For The Disabled, emerged victorious in the tournament, securing the top position in the final standings.

Supporting inclusion through sports

Abdul Aziz Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Technical Affairs and Talent Care Committee at the Khorfakkan Club For The Disabled, highlighted the importance of such events in developing athletic talent and promoting the integration of people of determination into society.
