Sharjah24: The Al Hamriyah Council, affiliated with the Districts Affairs Department in Sharjah, organised a lecture titled "Tranquility in the Quran and Sunnah and Its Impact on Individuals and Society." The session was delivered by Sheikh Dr. Aziz bin Farhan Al-Anzi in the presence of Saeed Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Hamriyah Council, Humaid Khalaf Al Ali, Vice Chairman, council members, and a gathering of local residents.

Importance of Tranquility

Held on Friday evening at the council’s headquarters, the lecture began with Sheikh Al Anzi explaining the significance of tranquility, describing it as a gift from Allah that bestows peace and comfort upon believers. He highlighted that those who suffer persistent fear and anxiety frequently deviate from the principles of the Quran and Sunnah, opting instead for fleeting solace through physical relaxation or meditation in nature. Although these practices are not prohibited he emphasized that genuine peace can only be achieved through a deep spiritual connection with Allah and the fulfillment of religious obligations.

Tranquility in Islamic Teachings

Sheikh Al Anzi emphasised that tranquility in Islam goes beyond mere emotion, representing a significant divine blessing. He highlighted that one of the admirable qualities of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was his emphasis on the significance of inner peace in a variety of circumstances. He elaborated that tranquility ought to serve as a fundamental guiding principle in all facets of a Muslim’s life.

Impact on Marriage and Decision-Making

He highlighted the importance of tranquility in enhancing marital relationships, highlighting its role in promoting harmony and stability. He concluded by pointing out that tranquility acts as a protective barrier against challenges and emotional distress, helping individuals make wise decisions free from impulsive reactions.
