Sharjah 24: On the occasion of Emirati Children's Day, Her Excellency Hanadi Al Yafei, Director General of the Child Safety Department, emphasised the importance of instilling national identity and Emirati culture in children's hearts. She stated that this is the cornerstone of building a generation that is confident in its roots, committed to its values, and capable of embracing the future with confidence.

Celebrating children’s rights and cultural legacy

Al Yafei highlighted that Emirati Children's Day celebrates every child's right to grow up in an environment that nurtures their sense of belonging to their heritage and identity. She emphasized that this enables children to contribute actively to preserving the cultural legacy of the nation and becoming partners in shaping its future.

Empowering children to build a brighter future

She further stated that child development goes beyond protection and education. It also involves instilling national values, strengthening their connection to history, and encouraging creativity within their cultural framework. In 2025, the Year of the Community, the UAE’s vision focuses on empowering children to explore their past, take pride in their identity, and build a brighter future, inspired by the spirit of generosity and leadership inherited from their ancestors.
