SSC crowns Oceanic Khorfakkan Triathlon champions

Sharjah 24: The Oceanic Khorfakkan Triathlon, held on Sunday, February 23, saw 250 competitors participating in swimming, cycling, running, and jet skiing events. The winners were crowned by His Excellency Abdul Malik Jani, Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, in a ceremony attended by key officials, including Dr Yasser Omar Al Dokhi, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department, and Youssef Al Hosani, Executive Director of Events at the Department.

Olympic and Open Category results

In the Olympic category for citizens, Bakhit Al Qurs claimed first place, followed by Humaid Al Falasi and Humaid Balhol. In the open category, Donovan Geldenhuys secured first place, while Oscar Marquez and Ilya Fedorov finished second and third, respectively. Kara Muddiman triumphed in the women’s category, and Mike and Malan Rodrigo claimed victory in the team category. The jet ski champion was Jean Paul.

Sprint Category highlights

Matthew Green won first place in the Sprint Men’s category, followed by John Lacey and Dimitri Silver. Annie Kramer took top honors in the women’s sprint, with Norisa Koga and Natashia Mulligan placing second and third. In the team event, Ian and Will Treston finished first, while Diane Gordon and Jay Brody led the women’s team. Rafael Shepherd was crowned the jet ski champion.

Super Sprint and Junior Categories

Dexter Bottin and Jo Merby won the Super Sprint Men’s and Women’s categories, while Maximilian Hohen and Harriet Bottin secured second places. The Junior Boys category saw Benedikt Hohen in first place, with Daniel Sosolnikov and Jeremy Holt in second and third. Princess Karia won the Junior Girls category, followed by Laila Bowles and Noor Brizolier.
