Sharjah24: The sixth day of the Sharjah Nabati Poetry Festival witnessed a remarkable poetic performance during an evening held at the Sharjah Cultural Palace, where a group of talented poets from various Arab countries showcased their outstanding works.
Participating poets
The evening featured Khalifa Mohammed Al Kaabi from the UAE, Maryam Al Otaibi from Saudi Arabia, Ali Al Hashemi from Yemen, Dhanina Al Hamdani from Oman, and Abou Mahfoud Sid Ahmed from Mauritania.
Audience attendance
The event was attended by poet Bati Al Mazloom, the director of the Al Hira Literary Council, along with a large audience of poets, critics, and media personnel.
Opening performance
Emirati poet Khalifa Mohammed Al Kaabi opened the evening with a diverse array of poems that touched on themes of wisdom, patriotism, and love, accompanied by melodious chants.
Celebrated contributions
Saudi poet Maryam Al Otaibi shone with her rich recitations covering various poetic themes, including love, praise, and patriotism.
Yemeni poetry
Yemeni poet Ali Al Hashemi presented his beautiful Nabati poetry, which varied between praise and pride, as seen in his poem "Murooj Al Ilm," and emotional reflections in "Love is a Canvas."
Omani poetry
Omani poet Dhanina Al Hamdani delivered texts that spanned love, reproach, and pride, particularly in her poems "The Pure Hearts" and "Oman."
Grand finale
The evening concluded with remarkable recitations from young Mauritanian poet Abou Mahfoud Sid Ahmed, adding a delightful artistic touch to the event.
