Sharjah24: Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled has achieved a remarkable sports accomplishment by securing fifth place among 16 participating countries and winning 15 colored medals at the Sharjah International Athletics Meeting, hosted by the Disabled Club .
Praise for Sultan Al Qasimi's support for sports and athletes
Mr. Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi,  Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his unlimited support for sports and athletes in the emirate, and his continuous sponsorship of various clubs, which enhances Sharjah's status as a developed sports center.

Al Naqbi also extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Highness on the club's achievement, which reflects the wise vision and sound directives of His Highness in supporting the sports of people with determination.

Strategic vision and close monitoring by the Sharjah Sports Council
Al Naqbi praised the role of the Sharjah Sports Council, headed by Mr. Issa Hilal Al Hazami, in adopting programs to nurture talented individuals. He noted that the council's efforts have contributed to honing the skills of young athletes and enhancing their competitive levels, positively impacting the club's results in international forums.

Global competition and honorary level
The meeting witnessed the participation of 181 male and female athletes from 16 countries and teams, competing in 70 diverse sports events. The Khorfakkan champions for the disabled succeeded in winning 5 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals, reflecting the significant effort put into preparing the team for the championship.

Commendation for strong performance and high sportsmanship
The championship featured intense competitions, especially in running, discus throw, and shot put, where the athletes delivered outstanding performances in a competitive atmosphere that captivated the audience, showcasing the continuous development of sports for people with determination in the UAE. The athletes from the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled exhibited high sportsmanship, and the championship saw the emergence of new names that added excitement to the competitions.

Award ceremony and attendance of official figures
The award ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of the Trust Club for the Disabled, Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, and other officials and sports personalities, including  Louay Saeed Alai, Vice Chairman, Ali Ahmed bin Aboud, Secretary-General, Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Technical Affairs and Talent Nurturing Committee, and Abdullah Saeed Al Harithi, Chairman of the Institutional Communication Committee.

Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled aiming for more achievements
Al Naqbi affirmed that this achievement represents the beginning of further sporting successes, expressing his confidence in the individual sports teams of the club, and emphasizing the continued efforts to achieve more championships and elevate the name of the UAE and the emirate in global sports forums.
