She comfortably surpassed second-place finisher, American Lily Williams from Human Powered Health. With her second stage victory, Wiebes continues to lead the overall standings with a total time of 6:14:52 hours, holding a 13-second advantage over Irish Lara Gillespie and 14 seconds over Williams.
Wiebes retained the red jersey, signifying her overall lead, and the green jersey for points leader. She increased her points tally to 40, followed by Gillespie with 22, and Elisa Longo Borghini with 20. Belgian Julie De Wilde, from the Phoenix Decoink team, took the white jersey as the best young rider, while Carline Swinkels earned the black jersey for the medium-speed stage with 13 points.
