Sharjah24 : In a new initiative to support the performing arts and nurture young talents, Rubu Qarn Center for Theater, one of the specialised centers affiliated with the Rubu Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders, is launching the programme "Laughter." This programme opens doors for participants to explore the world of comedy in an innovative style that combines creativity and fun.
Mastering the art of comedy performance
The program aims to empower participants to master the art of comedic performance and write funny scenes through interactive workshops supervised by the esteemed artist Marai Al-Halyan. Participants will learn how to transform everyday situations into humorous theatrical performances that carry meaningful messages.
Intensive exercises in improvisation and playwriting
Participants will also engage in intensive exercises in improvisation and comedic playwriting during the program, which will culminate in an interactive theatrical performance that allows them to test their skills in front of an audience.
For ages 16 and above
The program will take place at the Quarter Century Center for Theater and Performing Arts – City Center Al Zahia, from February 14 to 16, 2025, and February 21 to 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It is available to members of the Quarter Century institutions, starting from the age of 16.
