Sheikh Rashid bin Saqr patronises closing of ‘Qeithna Ibdaa’

Sharjah 24: Under the patronage and presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the UAE Creators Team organised the closing ceremony for the fourth edition of the "Qeithna Ibdaa’ (Our Creative Summer)" programme, held under the theme "Happiness and Sustainability."

Honouring supporters and participants 

The event included a special recognition of all the programme’s sponsors, supporters, trainers, and participants. The ceremony featured an opening speech, various entertainment segments, and a recreational yacht trip departing from Al Majaz in Sharjah, alongside a showcase of highlights from the summer programme and other engaging activities.

Wide community participation 

The programme attracted a diverse range of participants from the community, with support from several organisations including the Ajman Social and Cultural Development Association, Sharjah Police, ITC Adventure Team, Al-Qurm Holidays, Bakdash, and Al-Tarbosh.

Supporting talent 

Sheikh Rashid bin Saqr Al Qasimi praised the initiative, commending the efforts of the UAE Creators Team and emphasising the importance of sustaining such impactful initiatives. He said, "We are all committed to actively participating in community-driven activities that nurture talent, enhance the abilities of the younger generation, and foster social responsibility. We continually strive to support initiatives that improve the quality of life for all community members."

Promoting sustainability in practical terms 

In her address, Rasha Najib Bahbishi, Chairperson of the UAE Creators Team, described "Qeithna Ibdaa’" as a pioneering initiative aimed at talent development, creativity, and skill enhancement. She highlighted the programme’s mission to promote sustainability in practical ways, encouraging young people to adopt positive practices that preserve resources and enhance their awareness of social responsibility while nurturing their talents and personal growth.

Diverse workshops 

Fatima Al-Hamadi, a parent of one of the participants, expressed her admiration for the programme, praising its excellent organisation and focus on skill development for children. She noted, "What sets 'Qeithna Ibdaa’' apart is the variety of workshops, coupled with the active involvement of young trainers who conducted hands-on sessions in areas such as recycling, artistic innovations, digital life, and recreational trips."

Closing ceremony and appreciation 

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Rasha Bahbishi presented Sheikh Rashid bin Saqr Al Qasimi with a token of appreciation in recognition of his continued support for the team. She emphasised that his support reflects his commitment to volunteering, community values, and youth development, all of which have contributed positively to the success of the initiative and its objectives.
