Al Dhaid City aids disability detection through “Hand in Hand”

Sharjah 24: Abdul Moneim Al Duwairi, Director of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, Al Dhaid Branch, shared that the 5th edition of the "Hand in Hand" initiative focuses on identifying disabilities or those at risk at an early age. The initiative aims to provide early intervention and appropriate treatment through a survey covering multiple specialties, held at Al Bataeh Public Park.

Raising awareness and early detection of disabilities

Al Duwairi emphasised that the initiative’s core goals are to detect disabilities and learning difficulties early, raise public awareness of disabilities, and educate the community on the rights of people with disabilities. The event also aims to promote greater inclusivity within society.

Activities and participation in the initiative

The initiative offered a range of activities, including medical surveys, consultations in psychology, audio-visual therapy, speech and language therapy, and a simulation and robotics corner. There were also various competitions for the public and visitors. This edition was marked by the participation of productive families and small project owners.

Al Duwairi expressed his sincere gratitude to the strategic partners and contributors who helped ensure the initiative’s success and its outreach to a wide segment of society.
