The agreement aims to unify efforts to serve the community in general and SSSD members in particular, and in an effort to serve the needy segment of society during urgent interventions, crises and emergencies, improving the quality of life for the emirate’s residents.
The two parties agreed to cooperate with each other to achieve desired goals, including providing social support and solidarity with the cases benefiting from SSSD, during urgent interventions, crises and disasters, and to support partnership efforts to achieve community development in Sharjah and enhance and consolidate human values and charitable works in society.
The safety agreement was signed by Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department, and K Balaji, Deputy General Manager of Gaia.
The agreement stipulates support and provision of medicines during natural disasters, including medicines for infants and children, and other types of diseases that usually spread during times of crises and disasters. It also provides pharmaceutical support and emergency medical support, and provides in-kind or service contributions in addition to discounts granted to those affected in Sharjah, and urgent intervention by providing an in-kind or service contribution, which is an electronic voucher distributed to SSSD as priority cases for social care.
