Sharjah24: A delegation from the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) and the Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW) recently visited Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club to review ongoing maintenance efforts. This initiative is part of efforts to improve sports club infrastructure in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The recent visit focused on overseeing the ongoing maintenance efforts in the club’s sports hall, as well as evaluating the progress of implementation in anticipation of the upcoming handover stage, all in accordance with the established standards.

Supporting sports development

The Sharjah Sports Council has launched an initiative aimed at enhancing the sports infrastructure within the emirate, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the development of local athletics. The Council's provision of advanced facilities plays a crucial role in fostering a dynamic atmosphere for sports and cultural activities, further solidifying Sharjah's position as a regional leader in these fields.

The visit is part of Sharjah’s plan to support sports clubs in developing talent and running cultural programs.

Strategic coordination efforts

Mohamed Tarek, Head of the Projects Implementation Division at the Sharjah Sports Council,, emphasized the Council’s dedication to hands-on monitoring and collaboration with relevant authorities. He highlighted strategic plans to continually enhance sports facilities, empowering clubs to fulfill their athletic and social roles effectively.

Collaboration and quality assurance

A joint delegation which includes engineering and technical experts from both the Council and the Directorate of Public Works carried out a comprehensive evaluation of the project. They expressed confidence in the quality of the work and the collaborative approach, which guarantees timely completion and the provision of state-of-the-art sports facilities.
