Dibba Al Hisn Council holds its first 2025 meeting

Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Council, affiliated with Sharjah Department of Suburbs Affairs (SDSA), held, its first meeting for 2025, on Tuesday, at the council headquarters, headed by Dr. Salah Obaid Al Ghoul, Chairman of the Council, and attended by council members.

Enhancing the Council’s societal role through services

 

The meeting was held within the framework of the ongoing efforts to enhance the council's societal role and support services provided to Dibba Al Hisn residents, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammead Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to enhance the well-being and stability of the family and society.

 

The meeting saw active participation from council members who expressed their commitment to supporting the council's agenda and contributing to activating its future programmes.

 

The meeting was attended by Mohammed Hassan Mohammed Al Mehwath Al Hamoudi, Vice President; Rashid Ahmed Rashid Khasaw Al Naqbi; Ahmed Ali Sultan Al Tayari Al Dhahouri; Omar Darwish Ahmed Mahmoud Al Amiri; Mohammed Ali Saeed Obaid Khambool; Asma Khalfan Mohammed Al Khabil Al Naqbi; and Asma Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al Tunaiji.

 

The meeting focused on reviewing the most prominent topics related to services provided, especially those related to social services and community initiatives.

 

Future initiatives towards social cohesion

 

It was also announced that the Council intends to organise a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing social cohesion and supporting all segments of society in the city, through educational meetings and initiatives that bring together individuals and families in an environment that stimulates positive interaction.

 

Engaging residents is a priority

 

Dr. Salah Obaid Al Ghoul stressed the importance of involving the city’s residents in the activities and initiatives organised by the Council, which contributes to consolidating community participation, and benefiting from their diverse experiences in various fields.

 

Al Ghoul pointed out that involving the city’s residents in the Council’s activities is a priority to ensure enhancing the sense of community participation.

 

Al Ghoul explained that the council seeks to building strong ties between the council and the residents of the region, while ensuring that activities and services are inspired by the aspirations and urgent needs of the community.

 

Dibba Al Hisn, a cooperation model between the community and government institutions

 

At the end of the meeting, the council members confirmed that it is necessary to enhance the council’s efforts during the current year, in line with the aspirations of Dibba Al-Hisn residents, and stressed that achieving family and social stability is a priority reflected in all the council’s plans.  The council pledged to intensify efforts to make the city a model of cooperation and joint work between the community and government institutions in the city of Dibba Al-Hisn
