Sharjah 24: Sharjah Charity International has reported a significant increase in online donations for 2024. The total amount donated through their digital platforms reached AED107.6 million. This impressive result shows how the organization has adapted to the digital age, making it easier for people to give back. Their efforts align with what donors need and their own vision for the future.

Huge demand for links

The SCI shared that its website successfully raised a total of AED 40.8 million in donations, showing its importance as a key platform for giving. During the year, about 3.5 million people visited the site. Additionally, the "Smart Link" feature also saw a great response, bringing in AED 66.8 million through various donation methods. This included AED 21.2 million from nearly 829,000 text message donations and AED 27.6 million from credit card contributions. People also donated a combined total of AED 18 million using payment options like "Apple Pay" and "Samsung Pay."

Donation Smart Screens

The organization aims to improve its online donation system by introducing smart donation screens in shopping malls and public places. This will make it easier for people to give donations in a more flexible way while ensuring that their contributions are handled with privacy and trust.

Increase community participation

Mohammed Rashid bin Bayat, who is the Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Charity Association, has announced that the organization is committed to improving its online platforms. The goal is to make it easier for people to donate and to increase community involvement. He explained that using digital tools has not only sped up the process of giving but also made charitable work more transparent. This allows donors to see how their contributions are making a real difference.
