Al Bas added that the Authority is working to provide the best services to the residents of Sharjah, use the latest technologies, and take all measures that enhance the efficiency of energy consumption and support the Authority’s efforts to achieve sustainability, by rationalising energy consumption, reducing maintenance costs, and reducing the carbon footprint. He pointed out that the work teams in the Electricity Distribution Department are working on designing, approving and implementing the lighting networks after studying and auditing the project, in terms of the length and width of the street and the lighting that is appropriate for it, determining the types of spotlights and their capacities, the lengths of the poles and approving the distances between them in a manner that is consistent with the dimensions and type of the road and the distribution of the poles and spotlights.
