Engineer Abdulrahman Boukhalaf, Director of the Water and Desalination Stations Department at SEWA, reaffirmed the Authority’s dedication to implementing innovative and sustainable solutions, utilising the latest technologies and best practices in water management. He emphasised that this approach supports a thriving and sustainable agricultural sector by ensuring the availability of essential resources for ongoing high-quality food production. Providing water, he noted, goes beyond logistics—it represents a strategic investment in the future of food security and the long-term well-being of the community.
He stressed that the wheat and dairy farms are vital components of the local food supply chain. Wheat is a key ingredient in many food products, while dairy farms provide essential milk and dairy products.
He also mentioned that SEWA provided over 12,771,880 gallons of water to Sharjah Safari, a distinctive project that embodies the wise vision and directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. This initiative highlights Sharjah’s dedication to environmental preservation and wildlife, delivering a unique experience in the emirate.
