Sharjah 24: As part of its commitment to implementing a unified, modern system for managing government documents, a delegation from the Sharjah National Archives—led by His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the agency, and His Excellency Salah Salem Al Mahmoud, Director General—visited the Sharjah Judicial Council.

Warm reception by judicial leadership

The delegation was received by prominent members of the judicial authority, including Judge Dr Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Judicial Department; Counselor Anwar Amin Al Harmoudi, Attorney General; Judge Ahmed Abdullah Al Mulla, Chairman of the Court of Cassation; Judge Dr Omar Obaid Al Ghoul, Chairman of the Courts of First Instance; Judge Abdul Rahman Sultan bin Taliah, President of the Courts of Appeal; Judge Dr Salama Rashid Al Ketbi, Head of the Judicial Inspection Department; and Sheikh Faisal bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Mualla, Secretary General of the Judicial Council.

Goals of the visit

The visit aimed to present the Archives' methodology for managing current and intermediate documents, introducing international best practices for preserving and organizing judicial records. The system aligns with approved standards and supports institutional transparency and efficiency.

Emphasis on unified records management

Judicial Council officials welcomed the initiative, praising the National Archives’ effort to develop and unify government document systems across Sharjah. The collaboration is expected to significantly contribute to preserving the emirate’s administrative and legislative memory, while enhancing overall institutional performance and historical documentation.
