Sharjah Ruler’s vision inspires for new educational strategy

This session is part of the groundwork for launching the Authority's strategy for 2025-2028. It focused on discussions and intellectual insights aimed at amplifying education's role in fostering a sustainable society, enhancing the quality of life, and initiating innovative educational initiatives aligned with Sharjah's vision. Furthermore, the session sought to establish key indicators for measuring the quality of private education, supporting the drive for exceptional educational outcomes.

The Authority has drawn inspiration for its strategy from the vision and insights of Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, particularly in the realm of education. This vision serves as a guiding light, alongside key themes discussed in the book “Al Murshid,” which has been used as a reference to steer conversations and outline the foundational elements of our strategy. This publication stands out as a significant intellectual resource, emphasizing the importance of developing a well-rounded personality in students and promoting the values of ethical and educational excellence.

Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, stated, “The reference material provides insights into a vision for individual and societal development.” She noted that using the book ‘Al Murshid’ during the brainstorming session contributed to the discussions and assisted in formulating a strategic vision aimed at fostering a balanced, aware, and creative generation.

The framework established by His Highness for shaping the student's character was thoroughly examined, highlighting several key elements. These include fostering knowledge, nurturing a passion for reading and books, laying a strong foundation from an early age, and developing a well-rounded personality. Additionally, the system aims to inspire innovation and creativity, empower future generations to be cultured and informed, enhance self-confidence, and ensure both psychological and academic stability.

During the session, the Authority discussed the goals of His Highness's educational system, as outlined in the book. The focus is on nurturing generations that are rich in cultural, moral, and creative awareness. The discussion highlighted the importance of fostering a sense of belonging to one's homeland, upholding values and principles, and staying in tune with contemporary developments. This approach aims to produce righteous, creative individuals who can contribute positively to their communities and help advance their countries.

Al Hashemi emphasized the critical role of academic institutions in fostering innovation and promoting lifelong learning. She pointed out that the Authority’s new strategy will embody a comprehensive vision aimed at creating a flexible and advanced educational environment rooted in Sharjah’s values and developmental objectives. In conclusion, she put forward a series of recommendations that position “Al Murshid” as a cornerstone of the Authority’s future outlook, ensuring an educational environment that aligns with Sharjah’s cultural values. Al Hashemi highlighted the necessity for academic institutions to serve as platforms that encourage lifelong learning, underscoring the importance of education in shaping creative and adaptable students who are equipped to tackle future challenges.
