Faisal Mohammed Hassan Al Marikhi, Chairman of the Society's Board of Directors, expressed his appreciation for the strong community involvement during the festivities. In statements to ‘Sharjah 24, he noted that the society, in collaboration with the Khorfakkan branch of the Department of Social Services, focused on showcasing Emirati culture and popular heritage during the event.
The celebration featured a variety of performances rooted in traditional art forms, including captivating chants and folk dances like Al Ayala and Al Yola. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to admire the traditional attire worn by the ancestors of Emirati citizens, both men and women, enriching the experience with a deep sense of cultural pride.
The segments included the presentation of some old handicrafts, popular foods, and other workshops and competitions that focused on the history of the country and its national identity.
