Sharjah24: Khorfakkan’s streets light up with joy and decorations, celebrating the UAE’s 53rd Eid Al Etihad from November 22–23, with a grand finale on December 1. The festivities attract citizens, residents, and visitors, offering a blend of vibrant celebrations and the city’s stunning natural beauty.
Known as the jewel of the eastern coast, Khorfakkan hosts a series of activities that reflect its commitment to the Union and national progress. Events will be held at the outdoor square of Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, culminating in a national evening featuring performances by renowned artists.
The program features a variety of artistic workshops, engaging activities for children, traditional and cultural performances, along with a range of diverse entertainment options. The event includes the national anthem, poetry recitals, an attracting operetta titled “Journey of the Nation” performed by local schools, and an impressive display by the Al-Mazyoud Harbiya Troupe. Guests will have the opportunity to experience traditional music, engage in competitions, and participate in activities like youth council discussions and showcases highlighting small businesses and cultural platforms.
On November 23, Khorfakkan Fort will be the venue for heritage activities from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, showcasing traditional Emirati crafts, performances of the Al-Azi art form, and nostalgic games.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Murr Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council, emphasised that the celebrations symbolize a renewed pledge of loyalty to the nation and its visionary leadership. “These events are not merely a commemoration of this significant occasion but also a testament to our dedication to achieving greater milestones and strengthening our global competitiveness,” he stated.
