The meeting, held in the meeting room of the Individual Sports Department in Al-Hazana, discussed the final arrangements, team readiness, and preparations from all aspects before the whistle blows for the championship, which will witness the largest participation in its history, with over 500 male and female athletes from 10 countries.
Al-Hajri expressed his sincere thanks and deep gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his unlimited support for sports and athletes, and to His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for his generous patronage of the championship.
The Chairman of the Organising Committee emphasised Sharjah Sports Club's eagerness to host such championships to showcase the emirate's ability to organize and host all sports events and tournaments with the highest level of efficiency. He pointed out that they are proud to host the championship for the second time in Sharjah after the club hosted it in 2022.
For his part, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Qannas praised the emirate of Sharjah for its great infrastructure, buildings, halls, and attractive environment, which contribute to the success of any championship. He explained that all this development is due to its leader, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. He added that thanks to His Highness's unlimited support and attention, Sharjah has become the capital of West Asia for karate, extending his gratitude to His Highness the Crown Prince for his generous patronage of the championship.
Al-Qannas also thanked the Sharjah Sports Council, headed by Issa Hilal Al Hazami, for its support and efforts in making this edition a success. He expressed his thanks to the UAE Karate Federation, the Board of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club, headed by Khaled Issa Al-Midfa, and all the entities that have shown great cooperation in ensuring the success of the championship.
