Sharjah Self-Defence Club wins UAE Junior Taekwondo League

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club claimed first place in the UAE Taekwondo League for Junior Teams, marking a major milestone as the club's first victory in this category since its founding. The event, hosted at Sharjah Club's gymnasium and organised by the UAE Taekwondo Federation, also saw Sharjah’s players earn gold medals.

Leadership commends achievement

Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors, praised the team and credited the win to the club's well-implemented technical strategy. He urged the coaching and administrative teams to build on this success and highlighted the vital support of the Sharjah Sports Council and the role of parents in supporting the athletes.

Technical team recognised

Al Jarwan acknowledged the contributions of the club’s executive and coaching staff, including Taekwondo Secretary Osama Mohammed Al-Radini, Technical Director Dr. Ali Alawi, and coaches Yassin Al-Jawadi, Mohammed Bukhari, Ashraf Abdul-Jalil, and Elias Mansri.

Dr Ali Alawi described the victory as a “historic and distinctive milestone,” noting it was the product of a strategic plan emphasizing technical performance, mental discipline, and competitive analysis. The club’s success is attributed to an integrated training approach and constant player evaluation by the technical staff.
