Sharjah 24: The Municipal Affairs Department participated in the 53rd UAE Eid Al Etihad, as part of the celebrations of the Emirate of Sharjah on this immortal occasion.
The department organises various activities in Sharjah National Park starting from November 21 to December 2, and will participate with the park's visitors on this occasion and celebrate it to express the meanings of unity and loyalty in an atmosphere full of joy, happiness, pride and honour.

His Excellency Eng. Omar Khalfan bin Hureimel Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Municipal Affairs Department, confirmed that the department is keen to celebrate this dear and immortal occasion and to participate with the wise leadership and the people of the United Arab Emirates, citizens and residents, in celebrating Eid Al Etihad, and extends its congratulations to the wise leadership and the people of the United Arab Emirates on this great occasion.

Al Shamsi explained that the celebrations and events of Eid Al Etihad contribute to strengthening social ties between members of society, and enhance the values of loyalty and belonging in society, pointing out that the Emirate of Sharjah is moving steadily towards the future, adhering to its identity, authentic values and ancient heritage under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

His Excellency also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Sharjah Emirate Committee for Eid Al Etihad Celebrations, headed by His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, for their sincere efforts in organising these distinguished celebrations that reflect the extent of love for the UAE and appreciation for the wise leadership. 

For his part, His Excellency Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Municipal Affairs Department, stated that this celebration embodies the Emirate of Sharjah's interest in preserving its cultural heritage and enhancing its national identity, and reflects the Emirate's keenness to promote the values of national unity and deep connection to the UAE authentic heritage, explaining that the department participates during its celebrations with a distinguished heritage pavilion and various live shows to introduce the UAE's civilization, in addition to organising competitions and entertainment and educational workshops that reflect the depth of the UAE's civilization and its ancient heritage.  

His Excellency Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qasimi stated that this participation comes as an affirmation of the department's keenness to consolidate the values of national belonging in the souls of members of society and enhance their sense of pride and loyalty to their dear homeland through activities that celebrate the UAE ancient history and authentic traditions and pass them on to future generations, so that the values of union and cohesion remain firmly rooted in their hearts and minds, which enhances their connection to their homeland and society and makes them feel responsible towards preserving national values, and the continuation of the progress march led by the UAE rulers under the union of the country.
