SRERD welcomes new applications for “RE Excellence Award”

Encouraging real estate innovation

His Excellency Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi, Director General of Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, said: "The award aims to support and develop the real estate sector in the emirate, by encouraging innovation and excellence in various aspects of this sector, and highlighting the efforts of real estate companies and institutions committed to the highest standards of quality and sustainability in their work."

Al-Shamsi stressed that the award also seeks to “encourage entities working in real estates to provide their best services and products which align with the visions of the emirate to develop this vital sector for the country’s economy, and to support and sponsor its excellence, whether at the level of developing real estate projects or providing services to achieve sustainability and benefit the society.” His Excellency further explained that “the award is open to all entities working in real estates, whether real estate companies, developers, or real estate brokerage offices, noting that “the award provides an opportunity for all participants to highlight their contributions and achievements in this sector.”

Award categories and evaluation criteria

The “Real Estate Excellence Award” has four categories: the category of Real Estate Offices, Real Estate Development Companies, Best Owners Association Board of Directors, and the category of the best companies for Administrative Supervision Services for Owners Associations. 

These categories aim to cover various aspects of activity in the real estate in line with the strategic objectives of the Real Estate Registration Department and the Emirate of Sharjah.

Future Prospects

As for the award’s criteria, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, Director of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence Office at the Department, stated: “The Department has set precise criteria for evaluation, focusing on the extent of commitment to international standards in quality, innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.” He added that “the organizing committee is keen to evaluate all the submitted real estate projects and services accurately and transparently, to ensure selecting the best and honoring the owners of distinguished initiatives.”

Sheikh Ahmed also said that "the department aims through the award to consolidate the culture of excellence and quality in the real estate, enhance cooperation between the stakeholders, and establish new standards for innovation and sustainability, which will contribute to raising the efficiency of this sector and increasing the attractiveness of Sharjah as an investment destination."

Sheikh Ahmed concluded, "The award is expected to attract a large number of entries this year due to the positive reputation it has gained over the past years, and the award winners will be announced next February."

Terms and requirements

To register for the award, the department called on those wishing to participate to submit documents presenting their real estate projects or services, and explaining how they are distinguished and contribute to achieving quality and sustainability standards. Participants must adhere to the award's standards and ensure that they meet the terms and requirements set by the organizing committee.

All institutions, companies, associations, and real estate offices operating in the Emirate of Sharjah can register for the award through the department's website www.shjrerd.gov.ae, where they can view the participation terms and requirements in detail.

Importance of the Award

The “Real Estate Excellence Award” is part of the department’s efforts to enhance the real estates, making the emirate a preferred destination for real estate investment. It also seeks to motivate participating entities to provide innovative services and products that meet customer expectations and contribute to improving the quality of life in Sharjah.
