Sharjah24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) has provided wheat seeds to its employees through a community initiative known as "Sharjah Harvest." The Sharjah Volunteer Work Centre, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, has introduced an initiative designed to enhance the values of volunteerism while highlighting the significance of sustainable agriculture in the emirate.
The Corporate Communications Centre provided employees with packets of wheat seeds, urging them to plant the seeds in appropriate locations and take care of them as per the attached guidelines. The initiative aims to enhance understanding of environmental issues and promote agriculture as an essential element of sustainable development.
This initiative highlights Sharjah’s dedication to enhancing community and environmental efforts, focussing on collaboration among different sectors to reach sustainable development objectives.
