The exhibition, which is scheduled to be held in Al Dhaid, aims to promote the culture of solidarity within the community and encourage giving by repurposing unnecessary and surplus items to benefit a large segment of those in need, rather than discarding them.
Dr. Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Director of SCI’s branch in Al Dhaid, confirmed that the Ghayth Exhibition is organised for the fifth consecutive year with support from donors, traders, and residents of Al Dhaid and the surrounding areas, who have shown great enthusiasm and have proactively contributed to providing the displayed items at symbolic prices to benefit underprivileged families.
He explained that the exhibition will include a range of activities, as well as various social, cultural, and recreational events, calling on all individuals to support this initiative by donating goods and items to be placed in the exhibition for the benefit of the needy and underprivileged.
He added that the exhibition, over the past four years, has achieved its goals, as reflected in the number of visitors, and it has served as a means for underprivileged families to obtain their needs at reduced prices. The proceeds from the exhibition have been used to support assistance programmes, such as purchasing household appliances and furniture for deserving families.
