Sharjah 24: Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Jarwan, Director of Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority’s Transport Affairs, stated that the authority held its annual ceremony to honour drivers for 2024. During the event, 180 drivers from various operating companies were recognised, including Sharjah Taxi, Aman Taxi, Ittihad Taxi, City Taxi, and "KJL" company, which operates public transportation and intercity services. Additionally, 10 customer service employees from the call centre were honoured.
In a special statement to "Sharjah 24," Al Jarwan emphasised that this annual recognition is a tribute to the drivers' efforts in providing exceptional services that enhance the quality of transportation in the Emirate. Strategic partners of the authority were also honoured, including the Licensing and Traffic Department of Sharjah Police, Sharjah Driving Institute, Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority, and Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, for their significant role in supporting and developing the transport sector.
Al Jarwan highlighted that the authority continuously seeks to motivate workers in the transport sector by offering support and appreciation to drivers, employees, and partners. He affirmed that such initiatives contribute to raising the level of services provided to citizens and residents in the Emirate of Sharjah.
