Al Suyoh Council discusses enhancing community engagement

Sharjah 24: At the headquarters of Al Suyoh Council in Sharjah, part of the Districts Affairs Department, Yousef Obaid Harmoul Al Shamsi, Chairman of the council, held an extensive meeting attended by a number of members and staff. The meeting addressed the items on the agenda, which centred on enhancing communication with families and addressing the needs of citizens.
Attendees included Vice Chairman Hareb Al Rumaithi, and members Abdullah Nasser Al Nuaimi, Khalid Salem Al Nuaimi, Ahmed Al Yassi, Abdullah Al Ansari, Salem Saif Al Suwaidi, and Ibrahim Al Kabouri, along with council staff Khalid Haitham Al Makhdoom, the council’s officer, Mohammed bin Harmoul, and Iman Al Marzouqi.

Bin Harmoul highlighted the importance of intensifying efforts to meet the needs of residents in the suburb. The discussions then focused on the necessity of collaboration between council members and the community to address emerging issues that require intervention, working to foster positive aspects and improve the quality of life in Al Suyoh.

The importance of increasing visits to residents to hear their feedback and needs directly was also stressed, reflecting the council’s commitment to effective communication with families. 

At the members' request, the meeting also discussed the significance of fieldwork and direct engagement with residents, aimed at building a safe environment and ensuring swift responses to community demands.

The meeting concluded with members emphasising the need to maintain ongoing communication with citizens and strengthen partnerships with relevant authorities to ensure the improvement of services provided in the suburb and to meet the needs of the community.

Bin Harmoul stated that the council's dedication to serving families and addressing the needs of the community is a reflection of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He added that the council, through its members, remains committed to enhancing communication with residents, listening to their concerns and needs, and intensifying field visits and community activities.

He pointed out that the collaboration between the council and the community is the cornerstone for achieving sustainable development and improving the quality of life in the suburb. He also highlighted efforts to create a safe and prosperous environment for all, and reaffirmed the commitment to doing the utmost to serve families and meet their aspirations, in line with His Highness’s wise vision. These efforts reflect national goals to develop effective partnerships with relevant authorities and address the concerns of citizens.
