Al Aqroubi said that the winners will be revealed at the Sharjah International Book Fair on November 6.
She told Sharjah 24 that this year's participation was remarkable, with 330 submissions from Arab and foreign countries. This year saw an increase in entries compared to previous editions, with new countries such as Finland, Switzerland, and Canada participating for the first time. Some submissions from these countries have even made it to the shortlist.
Al Aqroubi highlighted that the award features several categories: early childhood, picture books, chapter books, and young adult literature. This year, the variable category is dedicated to poetry.
