Sharjah24: Dibba Al-Hisn Football Club announced the appointment of national coach Hassan Al-Abdooli (50 years old) to lead the first team, succeeding Brazilian coach Caio Zannardi, who was relieved of his duties after the fifth round of the ADNOC Pro League.
Al-Abdooli has experience in the UAE league and a solid coaching background, having previously coached Al-Wasl and Dibba Fujairah. He also served as an assistant to national coach Mahdi Ali in various national teams.
In his first statement, Captain Al-Abdooli expressed his gratitude to the club's management for their trust and support and praised Dibba Al-Hisn Club, describing it as a club that deserves to be in a better position than it currently holds. He added that there is a significant challenge and responsibility toward the management and fans, as everyone is demanding improvement. He noted that the players have the potential and ability to deliver a level befitting the club's prestigious reputation, but emphasised the need for greater effort and instilling a mindset of challenge in the players.
For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al-Turban, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dibba Al-Hisn Football Club, stated that the change was essential to enhance the team's performance. He expressed confidence in national coach Hassan Al-Abdooli, who will lead the team toward achieving further successes, hinting that the coach is one of the distinguished national talents with an excellent football career.
