During the visit, children took part in an art workshop titled “My Drawn Scene”, designed to develop their visual expression skills and teach them the basics of drawing. The workshop opened up new horizons for the children to express their ideas and imagination through colours and shapes, positively impacting their personal development and creative communication abilities.
These activities reflect Dibba Al Hisn Club’s commitment to providing a comprehensive summer environment that combines learning with fun. The programme contributes to shaping the children’s personalities, equipping them with new skills that meet their aspirations, and instilling a sense of belonging and social participation—supporting Sharjah’s vision of nurturing an aware and creative generation.
In collaboration with Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, the club also organised an educational field visit to Dibba Al Hisn Plant Nursery. Participants attended an interactive workshop where they learned about different plant species, proper plant care, and the vital role plants play in air purification and environmental balance. The session also highlighted the health, nutritional, and medicinal benefits of plants, enhancing the children’s environmental awareness and local connection.
On the awareness front, the club’s theatre hosted an educational workshop titled “The Impact of Social Media”, presented by Amani Farouk in collaboration with the Volunteer Genius Team. The session addressed the psychological and social effects of digital platform use and explored safe and responsible ways of using social media to promote positive behaviours and minimise digital and behavioural risks.
The sporting component also drew strong engagement, with participants taking part in football, handball, karate and swimming activities. These dynamic sessions promoted physical fitness, teamwork, and an active, balanced lifestyle in an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and healthy competition.
