Sharjah24: In its commitment to fostering a culture of sportsmanship, the Sharjah Youth, part of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, is organising a community campaign under the slogan "Sportsmanship. Fair Play." The campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of fair play and mutual respect between athletes and fans, as part of its efforts to nurture generations committed to ethical values in sports.
Among the key activities of the campaign is the participation of several members from Sharjah Youth centres who will accompany players as they enter the field, wearing shirts emblazoned with the campaign's slogan "Sportsmanship. Fair Play." This creates a distinctive scene that delivers a direct message to the sports and community sectors, emphasising the importance of adhering to the principles of fair play and demonstrating sportsmanship in various situations, both on and off the field.
The campaign, conducted in collaboration with the Sharjah Sports Council and various sports clubs in the emirate, will feature numerous innovative initiatives focused on disseminating awareness messages encouraging athletes and fans to adopt positive values towards fair competition, positive encouragement, and rejecting all forms of violence and sporting fanaticism. This aims to create a safe sporting environment characterised by healthy atmospheres suitable for engaging in activities and competitions while upholding high ethical standards that reflect the character of Emirati youth.
The campaign reflects Sharjah Youth's strategic vision as "a community partner in building and empowering aware and influential generations," which seeks to unite efforts and engage all local and Emirati institutions and individuals with the campaign's initiatives to achieve its noble goals of promoting positive behaviors and ethics of fair play.
