Sharjah24: Following the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) is actively engaged in community service by supplying free purified water from its Zulal factory to students at 420 public and private schools and nurseries throughout Sharjah. Weekly, over 15,000 five-gallon bottles are distributed, benefiting more than 200,000 students and enhancing their health and safety.
Majid Al Owais, Director of Zulal Water Factory Department at SEWA highlighted the Authority’s support for schools and various institutions as an example to its dedication to social responsibility. He emphasised that providing clean water is a noble mission that the factory's employees diligently work toward every day, adhering to the highest standards of service excellence.
He stressed that the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority is actively working on the development of the Zulal factory, aiming to boost its competitiveness and increase production capacity in response to rising demand. The factory adheres with international standards for delivering high-quality bottled water, prioritising public health and safety, as directed by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Al Owais emphasised that Zulal water products adhere to the most recent international standards for water production and are subject to ongoing development to satisfy changing demands.
He added that the factory obtains its water from natural groundwater wells located in the Hamda region, ensuring it is purified and processed to uphold the highest standards.
Al Owais concluded that Zulal water can be found in retail outlets and cooperatives throughout the UAE, with the added convenience of direct delivery available via the Zulal website at Zulal.ae.
