Sharjah24: Fatima Al Kaabi, General Supervisor of the Literature and Languages Pathway at Sharjah Children, affiliated with the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, announced that the Foundation launched on Sunday the "Quarter of a Century and the World" event. The event, taking place at the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, seeks to familiarise its members with the diverse cultures of Palestine, Morocco, and South Korea.
In an exclusive statement to "Sharjah24", Al Kaabi stressed that the event aims to engage the children and youth of Sharjah, adding that this initiative, in partnership with various institutions, seeks to educate participants about the cultures of Palestine, Morocco, and South Korea. The event aims to enhance their understanding of the rich heritage of these countries.
Al Kaabi added that participants will engage in a series of workshops throughout the day, offering a diverse range of talents, expertise, and cultural insights. The workshops will focus on topics such as traditional clothing, popular foods, and the historical importance of the Palestinian keffiyeh. Additionally, a virtual visit to South Korea is scheduled, where participants will learn cooking techniques, including the preparation of healthy rice balls known as "Gimbap," and explore the ancient Korean art of mother-of-pearl inlay to create unique medals.
The virtual journey will wrap up with a stop in Morocco, where participants will delve into the craft of mosaic-making, creating colourful tables and a variety of decorative items. Participants will be introduced to essential aspects of Moroccan arts and culture.
