Sharjah 24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the Arab Forum for Financing and Investment in the Sports Sector concluded on September 25. The three-day event at the Pullman Hotel was organised by the Arab Administrative Development Organisation in collaboration with the Sharjah Sports Council and featured participants from various Arab countries.
The forum included nine sessions led by experts, covering topics such as marketing, investment, and sports economics. The final day featured discussions on investor requirements, privatisation of sports clubs, marketing strategies in sports—with a focus on Saudi Arabia—and the importance of investing in human resources.
Participants were later given certificates and visited the Sharjah Sports Council, where they learned about the Council's operations and its role in overseeing sports and specialised clubs in the emirate. They were also treated to a luncheon hosted by Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, alongside other board members and staff.
In his remarks, Al Hazami praised the forum for its positive impact on identifying sports investment opportunities and enhancing the emirate's standing in the sports industry. He emphasised the Council's commitment to leveraging Gulf and Arab experiences to benefit local sports and athletes.
