The event was attended His Excellency Abdullah Rashid Al-Mahyan, Chairman of the Student Parent Council in the Central Region, His Excellency Musabbah Saif Awad, Director of Mleiha Municipality, His Excellency Abdullah bin Hammouda Al-Ketbi, Director of the Social Services Department, His Excellency Ahmed Salem Humaidi Al-Ketbi, member of the Consultative Council, His Excellency Awad Saeed Harib, and poet Ali Mohammed Saif Al-Mazrouei.
The guests were welcomed at the club's headquarters by His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Khasuni Al-Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Club, alongside board members and Mr. Mohammed Musabbah bin Hudhiba, youth football supervisor, and club staff.
The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Then, Mohammed Musabbah bin Hudhiba delivered a speech on behalf of the club, expressing his joy by saying: “It is my pleasure to stand before you today in this special ceremony to celebrate Mleiha Club's first-place win among Sharjah's clubs in the 2024 Sharjah Summer Sports activities. This victory is not just an award, but a recognition of the efforts of everyone involved and all who contributed to the success of this month-long summer program filled with unique activities."
Bin Hudhiba noted that “the success we achieved aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who places special attention on youth and future generations, focusing on building individuals who work for their nation and community." He emphasized that "His wise directives motivate us to work tirelessly to provide beneficial programs that meet the needs of society and develop the skills of our youth in all fields."
He added: "The activities we organised under the slogan 'Our Extraordinary Holiday' attracted large numbers of participants from various age groups, reflecting the community's interaction with our initiatives. These sports, cultural, and national activities contributed to strengthening social ties and creating a stimulating environment for the youth."
In conclusion, he thanked everyone who contributed to this success, including the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, the organizing team, and the involved partners. He also expressed gratitude to the Sharjah Sports Council, local councils, Mleiha Municipality, the Student Parent Council in the Central Region, and Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.
The ceremony featured a video showcasing the club's journey to winning first place, followed by a special poem recited by poet Ali Saif Al-Mazrouei, and concluded with an award ceremony honouring the supporting partners who contributed to the success of the activities.
