Sharjah 24: The Organising Committee of the Kalba Beach Games discussed during its meeting at the Sharjah Sports Council headquarters the details of the fourth edition of the event, which is held under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
The meeting was chaired by Abdulmalik Jani, Vice Chairman of the Council and Chairman of the Organising Committee, in the presence of Dr. Omar bin Hanifa, Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee, Dr. Yasser Omar Al Dokhi, members of the Committee, heads of subcommittees, and members of the General Supervision Office.
The meeting discussed scheduling the event in a way that does not conflict with organising major events at the same time. The recommendations of the third edition, opportunities for improvement and previous challenges were also presented to address them in the new edition, the most important of which is increasing the capacity of the stands.
The basic marine sports, namely “beach rowing, kayaking and swimming”, were also approved, in addition to various logistical arrangements, with the adoption of the event’s theme, similar to the previous year.
