Sharjah24: Al Hamriyah Club triumphed at the second preparatory swimming championship for Sharjah clubs, held on Saturday, September 21, at their home venue. The event saw Al Dhaid take second place, while Mleiha secured third, with 196 swimmers from six clubs participating.
The championship, organized by the Sharjah Sports Council, aimed to discover promising local talent and build a strong foundation of young swimmers aged 5 to 14. It featured clubs including Al Hamriyah, Al Dhaid, Mleiha, Diba Al-Hisn, Al Batayeh, and Sharjah Sports Club.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Hamid Al-Shamsi, Chairman of Al Hamriyah Club, alongside board members Sultan Al-Shamsi (General Secretary), Salem Al-Khayal (Chairman of Individual Sports Committee), Jassim Al-Doukhi (Head of Individual Sports at the Sharjah Sports Council), and Hassan Al-Toumi, the sport specialist.
The second edition of the championship reflects the Sharjah Sports Council's commitment to nurturing local talent and enhancing the overall performance of young swimmers, while also providing support for outstanding athletes.
